Product Overview
The fundamental concept behind a permanent magnet generator lies in the rotor containing permanent magnet materials that produce a steady magnetic field. This constant magnetic flux is a key feature that differentiates it from other types of generators.
When the rotor is set into motion by a prime mover, such as a wind turbine, water turbine, or an engine, the magnetic field created by the magnets rotates along with the rotor. This rotating magnetic field then interacts with the conductors located in the stator windings.
Based on the law of electromagnetic induction, the movement of the magnetic field relative to the stationary coils induces an electromotive force (EMF) within the stator windings. When these windings are connected to an external load or circuit, electrical energy is generated and can be harnessed for practical use.
