The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series disc-type permanent magnet generator is designed without an iron core. This unique generator features a spindle and rotor arranged in a disc-shaped stack. The stator is fixed at the center, while the rotor rotates on both sides of it. Notably, the spindle contains only windings and lacks an iron core.

Both the stator and rotor adopt a flat disc structure and utilize axial air gap magnetic flux. They are positioned alternately along the axial direction. Due to the disc generator's short axial length and large diameter, it easily supports a multi-pole configuration. This results in a high power-to-mass ratio, low speed rating, and the ability to start at low wind speeds.
