Product Overview

The fundamental concept behind a permanent magnet generator involves the rotor being equipped with permanent magnet materials. These magnets create a steady and consistent magnetic field. As the rotor is turned by a prime mover—which could be a wind turbine, water turbine, or an engine—this magnetic field begins to rotate along with it.

As the rotating magnetic field passes through the stator windings, it interacts with the conductors embedded within them. This interaction is based on the law of electromagnetic induction, which states that a changing magnetic field induces an electromotive force (EMF) in nearby conductors.

When an external electrical circuit is connected to the stator windings, the induced electromotive force causes current to flow, allowing the generator to deliver electrical power. This process effectively converts mechanical energy from the prime mover into usable electrical energy.
