The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series disc type permanent magnet generator features a unique coreless design where the spindle and rotor are arranged in a disc shape. The stator is fixed at the center while the rotor spins on both sides, with the spindle containing only windings and no iron core.

Both stator and rotor are designed as flat discs utilizing axial air gap magnetic flux, alternately positioned along the axial direction for optimal performance. The generator's short axial length combined with large diameter enables multi-pole structures, resulting in high power-to-mass ratio, low speed rating, and low wind speed starting capability.

Available in two design variants: outer rotor (stationary shaft with rotating casing) and inner rotor (fixed casing with rotating shaft), offering flexible installation options for various applications.
