Product Overview
The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series disc-type permanent magnet generator features an innovative coreless design where both spindle and rotor are arranged in a disc shape with the stator positioned centrally. The rotor rotates on both sides of the stator, while the spindle contains only windings without an iron core.
Both stator and rotor are constructed as flat disc structures utilizing axial air gap magnetic flux, alternately arranged along the axial direction. The generator's short axial length combined with large diameter enables a multi-pole structure, delivering high power-to-mass ratio and efficient low-speed operation.
Available in outer rotor and inner rotor variants, the GDG series offers compact size, low energy consumption, lightweight construction, and high efficiency, making it ideal for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines.

“I built a small pico hydro system on the creek behind my off-grid cabin. The water head is only 3 meters and flow rate around 0.2 m³/s – too low for most generators. This axial flux coreless unit starts generating usable power at just 150 RPM. No cogging, no iron loss, and it’s silent. I’m getting 300-400W continuously, 24/7. My old induction generator would barely light an LED at that speed. Absolutely perfect for low-head hydro.”
